Introduction to FATE in AI
Our team has developed the self-taught learning module “Introduction to FATE in AI”. The module constitutes a deliverable for the H2020 project, CyCAT. Through the materials that we have created and/or curated, we aim to share with you what we have learned during the project, to help you gain a high-level understanding of the field of Fairness, Accountability, Transparency and Ethics (FATE) in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The module is designed to be accessible to a wide audience of researchers, students and practitioners interested in the ethical and social implications of modern, data-driven AI systems. It should be noted that we use the term “AI” in the same general manner as put forward in the European Commission’s February 2020 White Paper on AI, “a collection of technologies that combine data, algorithms, and computing power.”
