CyCAT is renamed to: Cyprus Center for Trustworthy AI (CyCAT)

We are pleased to announce our official renaming to Cyprus Center for Trustworthy AI (CyCAT). This change reflects our evolving focus on promoting AI literacy, enabling individuals to recognize AI, use it effectively, evaluate its impact, and assess it within ethical frameworks.

Our new name better aligns with our mission and reinforces our commitment to educating and informing the public about AI, as well as developing methods and tools for the creation of trustworthy AI systems in collaboration with researchers worldwide.

CyCAT is dedicated to:

• Promoting digital and AI literacy by raising public awareness of how AI and algorithmic processes shape access to information and opportunities.
• Developing computational methods, personalized tools, and innovative training programs to support the responsible and trustworthy development and deployment of AI.
• Advancing a culture of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) to ensure ethical AI practices.

CyCAT will continue its efforts in research, policy engagement, and public education to enhance human-AI interaction and collaboration.
