During the conference, Maria presented her paper titled: “AI in the Eyes of Middle Schoolers: Perceptions, Attitudes, and Literacy.” The paper reports findings from her doctoral research exploring how middle school students perceive Artificial Intelligence, their level of AI literacy, and the factors that shape their perceptions. The findings provide empirical evidence to inform the design of age-appropriate AI literacy initiatives.
